John Farina, Reservoir Engineering Associate
John has over thirty-two years experience as a reservoir engineer with major oil companies and as an independent consultant. He began his career in 1968 for Shell Oil where he was Supervisor for workover and well completions groups. In 1976 he joined the team of Sneider and Meckel where he was Production Manager and Senior Engineer responsible for recommendations and oversight on completions and workovers primarily on onshore Gulf of Mexico projects. John became an independent consultant in 1981 preparing and teaching courses on Reservoir Management and Reservoir Engineering Fundamentals for geologists and engineers, Well Workover and Completions and the Design and Completion of Horizontal Wells for Amoco, Shell, Exxon, Marathon and Chevron Canada. He has also consulted on reservoir simulation studies, testing and completion of wells and well workovers in Peru, Venezuela, Korea, Western Siberia, Australia, Algeria, and the Gulf Coast Basin both onshore and offshore.
