Jamie Robertson’s experience spans twenty-five years with ARCO. His career began as a PhD research geophysicist investigating the application of shear wave seismic technology to hydrocarbon exploration. He later became Vice President, Geoscience Operations responsible for providing exploration technical services and support in geology, geophysics and information technology to all ARCO’s exploration operations. Jamie was named Gulf of Mexico Geophysical Manager where he had oversight for the acquisition, processing and interpretation of all ARCO seismic data in the onshore and offshore Gulf of Mexico basin and the generation of drilling prospects from that data. Jamie was next assigned to the selecting and implementing the geological, geophysical and information technology used in ARCO’s international exploration program. His role was expanded to Vice President, Exploration Operations with responsibility for both exploration technology and the operation of all exploration licenses, seismic crews and exploration wells drilled by ARCO, Jamie has built a highly successful consulting business, and his expertise is sought after by oil companies around the world.
